My name is Chris Mattatall, and I teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in the Faculty of Education at the University of Lethbridge. I speak nationally and internationally on topics related to how the human brain learns to read (The Art & Science of Reading Acquisition), the Science of Learning and how the brain learns and develops. I conduct workshops and deliver keynote presentations to educators and administrators on learning strategies that help direct student attention, strengthen memory, and build self-regulation. This applies to all areas of learning, as well as to the science of how children learn to read.  I also lead parent workshops on topics related to the effects of social media on attention, learning, and mental health, as well as the development and learning of children’s and teenagers’ brains.

SPEAKING: KEYNOTES, WORKSHOPS and PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
If you are interested in having me speak at your conference, to your individual school team, or to your parents, please simply email me at [email protected], and we can begin a conversation.
