Another way of looking at the UDL Guidelines graphic (adapted here) is to include a fourth column that includes the WHERE of learning.  Today, perhaps more than anytime in our contemporary history of schooling practices, we are realizing the potential of place in learning.  A growing understanding of place-based or place-conscious learning will undoubtedly enhance schooling in the years to come, especially if they are accessible to all learners.
