Hi, I hope you are enjoying GoodTeaching.ca and finding some useful resources here.  I am always on the lookout for great resources, so please feel free to write to me with suggestions.

email:  [email protected]

I am an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology in the Faculty of Education at the University of Lethbridge.  One of the great privileges that I've been given over the past 10 years is that I get to work with educators across Alberta and Canada, talking about how our brains learn and how teaching can be enhanced through the science of teaching and learning.

I conduct individual school PD sessions, large group workshops, parent seminars in the evenings, and keynotes for conferences. If you are interested in having sessions about how the human brain learns (The Science of Learning/Cognitive Psychology), or how reading is taken up in the brain (and early reading acquisition), please simply reach out to me by email and we can start a conversation.

I keep my costs low on purpose, so schools and parent groups can access the exciting new research that's impacting learners of all ages. If you have any questions or would like to learn more please email me.
This website is designed to serve as a repository of resources that highlight effective teaching ideas, methods, and theories founded in the field of learning sciences (also known as the Science of Learning) and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.  This collection of resources includes recommended books, websites, research articles, videos and presentations. All are free to use and distribute.
